The Research Group on Sex Trade
The research group on sex trade began to operate in 2005 at the School of Social Work at Tel Aviv University. The group includes senior researchers, graduate students (MSW and PhD level), post-doctoral researchers, and collaborates with practitioners in the field. The many studies we have conducted over the years shed light on various aspects of the lives of women, youth and young adults who trade sex, and men who pay for sex. On the following pages you will find references and links to research reports, articles and graduate theses on these various topics (in both English and Hebrew)
Our studies accompanied and promoted the construction of sex
trade as a central area of public interest in Israel in general and in social services in particular. Later we established together with others the Israeli Association for the Study of Prostitution, Sex Work and Sex Trafficking
